![]() Adobe For Mac 10.5The version on the website is not compatible with mac 10.5.8. The version supports versions of Mac OS X from 10.6 to 10.9. Did find: /Library/Printers/PPD Plugins/AdobePDFPDE700.plugin/Contents/MacOS/AdobePDFPDE700: mach-o, but wrong architecture I un-installed the Acrobat 7 pro, ran the Disk Repair, rebooted into Safe Mode, then restarted. Same error message. I then archived and installed the OS X to 10.5.6. Program similar to photoshop for mac. Searched Adobe's website for issues with 10.5.8 no real answers. Os X 10 5 8The Acrobat 7 pro was working fine prior to the 10.5.8 update, this is why I thought if we archived and re-installed and then just did not update any further than 10.5.6 it would of resolved the issue. But it has not. Any ideas would be appreciated. CS4 is the most recent version that will run if it's a PowerPC Mac (which presumably it is as 10.6 Snow Leopard is a vastly better OS for Intel Macs). The older CS2 can be downloaded from Adobe for free - (sign in with a free Adobe account when prompted) - though be aware that as stated at the top of the page it's only technically 'legal' if you have original discs for CS2 which can no longer be used because the activation servers are now offline. Click to expand.You don't want CS2 if it's an Intel Mac as CS2 is PowerPC-only and will be slow on Intel - you should get at least CS3 if getting a second-hand copy. CS3 to CS5 will work on 10.5 Leopard on an Intel Mac - however 10.6 Snow Leopard is not expensive () and is much better for Intel Macs than Leopard - CS5 and CS6 are supported on it, older versions (CS3, CS4) will probably work but you'd need to check. Depending on the MacBook and whether you want to run a newer version of OS X than Snow Leopard, you might be able to upgrade to a newer version than that and run later versions of Photoshop if you need to.
